With the Tekken World Tour Finals happening in Sweden at the end of January, we’re expecting some big reveals for the next season. But the real question is: who are you rooting for?
Crafting this poll wasn’t without its challenges. For instance, I decided to exclude the original versions of King II and Armor King II since their successors have fully replaced them—both in moveset and personality (not to mention, the originals are canonically deceased in the series). Similarly, characters like Michelle Chang and Forest Law, who have been separated from their counterparts in Tekken Tag Tournament games, were included as individual entries.
Violet’s inclusion was a tougher call. While he’s appeared both as a standalone fighter and an alternate costume, he’s currently absent as a named fighter in Tekken 8, so he made the cut. Even guest characters, despite never returning in the franchise’s history (yes, even Gon from Tekken 3), were added to gauge fan interest in their potential comeback.
To keep things organized, I categorized potential newcomers into distinct groups: entirely new Tekken characters, existing characters who haven’t been playable yet, and guest characters.
